🌍 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲… 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗼’𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺?

Maybe it’s just me, but lately, I see hotel openings everywhere — new concepts, beautiful spaces, all aiming to create buzz and excitement. But many friends in hotels accross the world are telling me the same thing again and again:

“We can’t find the people.”
“Even with higher wages and perks, we’re still short-staffed.”
“Turnover is draining our teams and budgets.”

𝙒𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜:
º Employee satisfaction matters more than ever before.

But here’s a real question I’ve been reflecting on:

🔍 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄? 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴…

Misalignment with expectations: Flexibility and higher pay help, but today’s workforce is seeking purpose, development, and balance.
High turnover & stigma: Many hospitality roles remain physically demanding, emotionally draining, and underappreciated.
Vacancies remain high: 65–76% of hotels report staff shortages.
Competing sectors: Retail, logistics, and gig work often offer better conditions—or at least more perceived freedom.

A recent HubEngage article (June 2025) notes:
*Highly satisfied teams show 31% higher productivity
*3× better customer satisfaction
*40% lower turnover
..........And replacing an employee can cost up to 200% of their salary

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.

📈 Inspiration and engagement are emerging as even more critical — the fuel for transformation, innovation, and retention in a changing market.
I’d love to hear from you:

1. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄?

2. 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀?

3. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆?

Let’s open the conversation — not just the next hotel.
